This film focuses on the preparation and the installation of the works of two artists sharing the French pavilion in the Bienale of Venice. Both of them decided to interfere directly in the architecture of the pavilion. J-P Bertrand painted the floor in gold and then destroyed it, opening a huge hole onto the cellar. Huang Yong Ping pierced the roof with large wooden pylons like acupuncture needles on which he installed satiric sculptures made of aluminium, coming from Chinese mythology. A ballet of cranes supports nine animal sculpures in the sky to the rhythm of the vaporettos framing enigmatic dolly shots of the Doges city.
