| " Amer, la montagne aux Bouddhas " belongs to a trilogy of videos by the sculptor Vincent Barrˇ, who trained as an architect, and is a professor at the ENSBA. The videos were produced and edited by Grand Canal and Mirage Illimitˇ.

Vincent Barrˇ's work is more than that of a video maker. It shows how a plastic artist, confronted with the heavy practises of sculpture and with its fixing in "reality" - the towns he travelled through, the factories and the workshops, the landscapes and the faces - finally recovers through image and words the emotional processes that led to his sculpted shapes. It is a sort of travel book, written over more than 30 years and through 3 cities, that brings him back to India in a Koranic Mederssa where he looks for the people and places he had known when his desire to be a sculptor found its roots. In the fast and dangerous reality of this millenary turning point, the image and the body enable him to measure his progress, its dangers, its beauties and his commitment.
